Head shots can be in black and white or color, but color would be a smarter way to go!. They can see your hair color, eye color, skin color, ect!.!.

All they want is for you to look your best!. If you look better happy, be happy!. If you look better serious, be serious!. But take a variety of each emotion so you can be absolutely positive!.

YOU should look like you so YOU can get a part YOU want!. They're looking for someone to fill the part, and they won't know what that looks like until they find the perfect head shot, so you can't fake that look!.

Extra Information-- Head shots can't be school photos, glamor shots, or pictures you took of yourself!. If money is an issue, you can visit your nearest university's photography department!. They'll do it for near to nothing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Both 1 and 2 offer valid information, and some will tell you both are OK, while color is the new/better way!. In some case/venues/genres, B&W is still OK, as in Opera, but Natural is the better way to be shot, and the Pro approach is the better way to go!.

To look like "Your Type"!?!?!? Do you mean look like YOU, or what you suspect THEY want to see!? "IN character" is not the way, and would probably do more to restrict you than advance you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Color are in style now

Be yourself- get different shots, then choose a few you like from the proofs!. The photographer can help with facial expressions and positioning
