Question: Am I too old to just be starting an acting career!?
The experience I have is from acting classes at my local theatre (which I had to stop after two years because our theatre got shut down due to lack of funds), musical theatre dance lessons, vocal lessons, choir at school and of course, the school musical last year!.
I've only ever done one audition for a community theatre production of A Christmas Carol, but I didn't get a part!.!.!.
I am sixteen and I really love acting, singing and dancing!.
Am I too old to start an attempt at breaking into the industry!?
I'd really like to get a part in a family channel or disney show, but am I to old to be doing that since I don't have all that much experience!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't put an age limit on what your passionate about!. You could get into making commercials to small walk-on parts in soap operas!.

If it's the theater that your more passionate about, go get that next part!. Have confidence in the ability to be the best at your craft!. From doing live theater you get instant gratification from the audience!. You know what that feels like!. Isn't it a great feeling!?

As a direct answer to your question, you are never to old to follow your dream!. Don't give up!. Keep going to open auditions and feel the spirit of the stage!. You can do it, I know you can!.

Go out there and show the world what your capable of doing on that stage!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is this a joke!?

Hun, you're only 16!. Your far from being too old to try to start an acting career!. Some famous actors did not start an acting career until they were like 23-25!. Like Brad Pitt, George Colney, Denzel Washington!.

I think 16 is actually a good age to start so when you get older and you try to audition for things you can say well I have some type of acting experience!. Whether its just playing in a short film or just being in a acting studio!.

So for question no, you are not too old!. I found your question kind of funny!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is never too late to start acting! Anyone can start, anytime they want! I just did a theatre production of Annie and this guy auditioned for the first time in his whole life and he got a part, and guess what!?!?!?!!!! He was 65!! 65 years old! See, anyone can start acting when ever they feel comfortable to start!.
Personally, it sounds like you have a lot of experience, but just remember, the industry is a dog eat dog world so work hard and stay confident! Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is no better time than today!. You are YOUNG! All the opportunities in this world are ahead of you!.

Do yourself a favor!. Keep studying and practicing your craft!. Take the next few years to immerse yourself in LEARNING to act!. Then, when you are an adult, you will be fully prepared and confident to go out and be successful!. But you have to be prepared through hard work first!Www@QuestionHome@Com

never too late or too early to start!. get invovled in more drama/acting courses!. get ur face and name out there!. try out for auditions, ect!. good luck!. and be passionate!. remember that they are usually not too many jobs in acting as a career!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This Q is asked many times per day, and the answers should always be the same, NO you are not too old!.

Obviously if you scan through many of the Q's you'll find young people even at age 10 and under asking the same thing!.

Part of the issue certainly is having or gaining more experience, if for no other reason than to make you a "bankable" commodity, and it's usually the case with Disney to work with legit agencies for any POOL they may need to fill!. They have an 800 # and calling it will likely get you a voice recording stating,,, leave your info and one of OUR booking agents will get back to you!. Disney is not exactly in the business of training!.

Not everyone in Hollywood or on Broadway, started learning lines, just out of diapers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
