Question: Acting help!.!?
ok well i was having a conversation with my dad and i was telling him about how i wanted to be an actress!.!.!.so he said alright im gonna give you a scene and you act it out!. so he gave me this scene that i came home and there was a fire and i was alone!. tht didnt go so well i busted out laughing!.
then he gave me two other scenes and i mean idk what was wrong with me but i know i was not doing well so we stopped!. im planning on bringing it up again tomorrow but im scared im gonna screw it up and hes gonna want me to forget about this whole thing!. any suggestions on what scene i should give him or what i should think of to give me more ideas!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is a list of monologues (a monologue is pretty much a speech said by only one character!.) Pick one of these!. If you have a comedic personality, I would suggest selecting a more comedic monologue!. If you truly want to prove to your father that your are serious, do a monologue on the more serious side, and memorize it to show that you will put your all into any acting position you are put into!. (the best way I memorize things is to read it aloud over and over again, but find the thing that will work best for you!.) Good luck and show your dad how great you are!

Don't let you dad run the audition!. Pick out a scene you want to perform, practice it, and then act it out for him!. If you do well, he will see that you do have the talent and interest to pursue acting school!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
