Question: Was this fair!?
So in my middle school play-i was the best person for Ms!.Hannigan in Annie Jr!. i even asked my teacher, but because i was sick with scarlet fever and still had a sore throat when i tried out which made my voice hard to progect and sing with and because of that he didn't put me on it!! He had already heard how i sung and acted because we had did like a week of auditions but i missed half of it cuz of the scarlet fever-and the play was really bad cuz the girl who played annie can't match a note for crap and was off tone!! The girl who played Ms!.Hannigan is nasally sounding-i mean it was a good play but he could've put different people in those spots!! But do u think it was fair for him NOT to put me as Ms!.Hannigan after telling me i would get it-and instead of doing that placed me as the radio talk show host Bert Healy which had to be changed to Bertha Healy cuz i'm a girl and i was everyone's understudy!.!.!.!.!.!.!.i mean at least i got a part but everyone got a part u know!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try not to get upset about this - even though I know it can be painful!. The absolute BEST thing you can do is - enjoy your part, bring it to life, make it all it can be!. Many years from now you can look back and remember something that was grand and fun (even if it wasn't perfect) or remember the experience as being a miserable time in your life!. It really isn't worth it!. AND, when you are older, you will wonder why you wasted the energy!. I felt the same after being cast in a very minor role after performing as a lead the year before!. I was so sad - but now, as an adult, I watch videos and see photos and just laugh at how wildly funny my 3 minutes on stage were!. Who cares that I didn't get the part I wanted - I still was part of something and the memories last a lifetime!.

It is best to enjoy every moment as often times, you only have one chance to be in any one production!. I know this show has come and past but there are plenty of opportunities out there! Who knows, maybe you'll get the lead next year!

that isnt fair if your scarlet fever was gone before the play started I agree that that wasnt fair!.!.!. just wait other shows will come up and you'll have another chance to prove your self good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

Well, it does sound unfair that he should tell you you'd get the part, and then give it to someone else!. As for the rest, maybe you need to think about how good you are and how jealous you are!. Maybe the person who played Miss Hannigan was actually better than you!. You can't complain every time you don't get the part you want!. The best thing to do as an actor who is rejected is not to get grumpy!. Just congratulate the person who got the part and do the best with what you have!. People will think you're much friendlier that way, and consider you for future roles!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Darling, there is nothing fair in the entertainment business and there never will be- EVER!

You expected the production to be shut down until you recovered but they didn't so now you are all butt sore and bitchy!

You had better have the pipes and the gift to back up your attitude or you will find yourself waitressing at a truck-stop in the middle of nowhere with platinum hair and pineapple earrings earning scare tips because of your bitter attitude which no one give a **** about your bemoaning of the talent parade which has long since passed you by!Www@QuestionHome@Com
