Question: What is the fastest and easiest way to learn lines!?

I just got cast in my first lead role!. I'm on stage for pretty much the entire hour and a half of the play!. Any recommendations!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Break it down by each scene!. Read Scene One multiple times and then have a friend take the script away from you as she/he reads the other lines and you recite yours!. Remeber the fast the script is out of your hands the sooner the character development comesWww@QuestionHome@Com

Record your lines into a digital recorder and then put on some headphones and listen!. Helps if you read along while listening too!.

The quicker you memorize your lines, the more time you have to focus on what those words mean!. Remember, it's not about the words, it's what the words are about!. And rehearsing without a script in your face will be much more productive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

act it out whenever you can and have a friend go over lines with you!. set goals for yourself, like have the first act memorized in a two weeks or so etc!. it also helps to just constantly read it since your brain will eventually remember it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
