Question: Voice acting opportunities in Florida!?
I REALLY, insanely, seriously want to become a voice actress for anime movies more than anything in the world, but I can't seem to find any place near me that specializes with it!. It's all opportunities for commercials and radio!.!.!.

I have searched online FOREVER these past few months, and asked around!. That got me--NOTHING!.

I live in Florida, by the way!.

I have the talent, diligence, and confidence to become a voice actress, but I do not know how to get myself noticed!

And that, my friends, is a problem!.

So, I have been advised to get an agent, but where the heck do I get an agent and what do they do!? How much do you pay them, and how do I know how to pick the right person!?

Please and thank you!!

I can't know where you live in FL, nor how deeply you have searched, but the link above relates mostly to Voice over in FL!.

As a resident for more than 36 years, long before ANIME, obvious choices might be Miami, and probably not much more in any production sense, in the state!. That doesn't mean you can't explore nationally, or globally!.

I know Voice over folks who never leave home, just walk around with a voice activated recorder, a head set, and notes or scripts!.

You might notice here, that almost everyone thinks AGENT is the way to Mecca!. I personally disagree, and have a low regard for agents, in a general sense, but to explore the possibilities is free!.

Agents only make money when their clients make money, in a usual sense 10% would be fair, as a commission!. NO upfront $$$ should ever be paid, BUT there might be minor exceptions, such as CD's, interviews, any voice training, etc!.

So much of what they may also do, IF you do not have decent equipment, would be to set you in a studio, booth setting, even in a TEST sense for a demo at the very least, and use your demo, perhaps with dozens of others, directed at those Business clients they have!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
