You can do work as an extra to see how things work on a set, but not as a way to get principal acting work!. And NEVER put that on a resume!. Central Casting is where you go if you are over 18!. As for getting legit roles, you need to get into classes and build a resume!. Get into theatre and audition for student and indie films!. backstage!.com and actorsaccess!.com are your best resources!. An account needs to be set up, have your parents do this because you should not be putting your info out on the web!. You should also seek their permission before sending your headshot in for auditions to make sure you both agree that the project is something you are all comfortable with you working on!. You should know that even student and indie films roles are competitive so getting into classes is key to preparing!. You need to know what the heck you're doing!. Get training, build your resume, and do a lot of networking along the way!. Make friends in your classes and on every set you work on!. Ask who their agents are and maintain contact!.
