Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
most of the songs that other people have suggested are on the list of songs that you should never sing for auditions- mostly because they're so commonly done for auditions
but the whole point of an audition is to stand out
how about send in the clowns from a little night music
or whispering from spring awakening
or i got rhythm from crazy for you
there are a ton of broadway songs for girls between altos and sopranos (mezzos) and if you don't like those suggestions just look around a little bit and you'll definitely find something
good luck :]Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Try to Remember" from The Fantastiks
"Journey to the Past" from Disney's Anastasia
"Sixteen Going on Seventeen" from Sound of Music
"Wash that Man Right Outta My Hair" or "I'm in Love With a Wonerful Guy" from South Pacific

I'd stay away from "trendy" songs that are on Broadway now!. They tend to be overdone!. Stick to the classics!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have the same type of voice as you!. Popular is a good song!. It's from wicked!. It's not too high and not too low!. Hope it helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

High School Musical has a kareoke, it's so simple! I know it's a bit dumb but seriously the CD is only like, 10 bucks and it's easy to sing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would suggest some of the songs from Wicked!.!.!.that Kristin Chenoweth (the original Glinda) sang!. She's a sporano and she has a REALLY high voice!. Good luck on your audition!Www@QuestionHome@Com

hopelessly devoted to you from grease has a good range =] good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
