Question: Acting headshot portfolio photographer help!!?

hi,
I am trying to look for a headshot photogropher for acting!. But I don't know what kind of photogropher I would even need to look for!.!.!.Could you tell me what kind of photographer does acting headshot portfolios!?
Can you reccomend any good ones in Michigan!?
Is there anything specific I should look for when choosing a photographer!?
Any tips on having the best headshots you can!?

Hello, the best thing for head shots is to go to an inexpensive photographer with head shots its really fun because you don't really need technique to take the photos all you really need is some one with a great camera and a plain back splash or wall!. a plain top and plain face!. its really fun because they want to see you raw and out of character!. (just remember to pose as though you could become anyone in that one second but are choosing to stay mello and simple!.) i had a bad experience with paying to much for it and the photographer didn't even know that they want raw and simple so we went for a neon pink back round and crazy make up and hair!. lets just say it was not a good experience but luckily i was 11 then I'm 15 now and take new ones every year!.

When I got my headshots done for my portfolio, I just had my dad do it with his digital camera, so I don't know of any professional photographers to get the job done!.

Just remember that you're no supposed to wear any make-up [cover-up is fine, but no heavy eyeliner or things like that]

Make sure your hair is pulled back enough so they can see your face!.

You need a front shot, and a side shot!.
