First, the cover letter needs to be personalized for every individual you send it to!. It shouldn't read "To Whom it May Concern"!. It should be addressed to someone specific to show sincerity on your part!. Make them feel like you chose them!.

Second, the body of the letter needs to say something about you that will make them WANT to look at your headshots and meet with you!. Something interesting, maybe something you have accomplished!. Keep it short and simple, but at the same time you have to find a way to set yourself apart from everyone else that they recieve a cover letter from!. Sell yourself!. Good Luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not bad!. Address it seperately to each agency, ideally to a particular agent at the agency!. The letter needs to be from your parent, not from you !. Make the resume a separate page!. could be attached to the back of your photo!. And note the enclosures a la a formal business letter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

hmm!.!. thats pretty good!. short and sweet!.
just write it as if you're parents were writing it!.
since you're under 18!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i really like that letter, and i think you did a really great job writing it! good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's a good start, but it's way too short!. There's nothing in it that would make an agent want to read the attached resume!.

A good idea is to list some of your qualities/skills that you think make you stand out from other aspiring actors!. Give them a synopsis of why you think they should want to represent you, or what you think you have to offer!. If you have some acting experience, you could give a quick summary of the type of work you have done!. Anything to pique their interest in you, and make them want to look at the rest of the package!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should address the letter to some individual by name, not just "To Whom It May Concern!." Do enough research to get the name of someone in authority at the agency!.

"Please take the time to look over my headshot and resume (on back)" sounds like you're giving the agent an assignment!. Instead, you might want to go with something like, "I enclose my headshot and resume!." (A resume on the back of a headshot is standard, so there's no need to clue the agent in about that!.)

A short and sweet letter is best!. You might consider breaking this one, short as it is, into two paragraphs!. Your first two sentences can stand by themselves as one paragraph!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't bother to send out generic To Whom It May Concern letters!. They look lazy and are likely to get thrown in the pile!. Take a little while make some calls and do some research into the agencies you are interested in!. Address it to the casting person, include details like recent work they've done that interests you and how you could benefit them!.
