I think it's genuine, the fee is to make sure people are serious, there's a guild one that's a similar price!. Phone a uni that teaches screenwriting and ask them!.

I worry that they'll steal my idea and get a studio writer to rehash it!. Even if you've registered your script they can do it in such a way that you can't argue!. Besides can Joe Bloggs struggling writer afford to take on megacorp!?

On a positive note, someone has to win!
