Question: How can I persuade my parents to let me get an agent!?
I am an aspiring actress and would really like to get an agent so that I can get my career rolling and get some experience!. However, as I am still young it is very hard for me to get an agent and I would of course need parental consent!. How can I persuade my parents to let me get an agent!?!?
I want this more than anything, acting is my life and I just want the chance to go to auditions and try my luck really, and we also need the extra money but that is irregardless!. So does anybody have any tips or ideas as to how I can persuade my parents to let me get or at least search for an agent!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Talk to them and tell them that it means so much at why you are sure that acting is really want you want, because lets say the get you an agent and then later on you say u no what i dont want to act i want to be a teacher, everything will go to waste, and its because your young you have still a long time to go before you no what you want to do in life, so sure you might like acting, but doesnt mean you will be a actor!. You have to give it time, if your lucky enough you will only get a angent around 17-up years old!. You still have high school or elementary ahead and you can easily change your mind, so why would your parents waste all that money if your not even sure, and if you think you are, well your not, so dont make ur parents waste money for something you might not even want to be!. They probably need the money for something, or you can get some money and join theirs so they dont pay to much, if im sounding mean, its not that i am its because ive seen people done many mistakes like that!. But GOOD LUCK!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The thing that usually gets my mom to say yes is "It doesn't cost money"!. A legit agent doesn't cost anything, the only time they get payed from you is when you get an acting job and they get 10%-20% of what you make!. Try to tell your parents that, and I wish you luck in that!. Hope this helped =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Get a job!. Show them that you're responsible and taking this seriously!. If you show some effort towards getting an agent by saving money and researching the best places and people then they are more likely to see this as a long term thing than just a passing whim!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
