How to payments of agents work!? Like how much money do you pay them a month!? How does it work!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are "legit" (film, TV, stage) and "commercial" agents!.

If it's a SAG, AFTRA or AEA job (those are the Big 3 actors' unions), it's 10% of whatever you get paid for a given job!. Non-union runs 15-20%, and managers take as much as 25%!. Print work (photography) is usually 20% as well!.

If the manager gets you the job, BOTH get their commission!. Your agent gets commission on ANY work you do once you're signed with them, whether they get it for you or not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

NEVER pay an agent up front!.!.!. an agent gets a percentage of the work he or she books for you!.!.!. and the agent doesn't get paid until YOU get paid!.

If an agent tells you that they have a "Sign Up Fee" or some other BS fee, get up, and get the hell out of their office!. I strongly suggest that you yell obsceneties at them on your way out the door as well!. Don't worry!.!.!. you won't be ruining your career!.!.!. you will be avoiding trouble, and telling a SCAM Artist off at the same time!.

If you need help finding a legitimate agent, ask your acting instructor!.!.!. What!? You don't have an acting instructor!? Why not!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
