Performing in front of people is always a good idea!. I tell my students to dance around or shake their hands to get rid of some of the adrenaline!. Then just before you go on, close your eyes, take a deep breath, hold it for a few seconds and blow it out fast!. Do this at least three times!. Concentrate on yourself and your performance!. Then go out and HAVE FUN! The more you perform the easier it will get!. Use that energy to help you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well you can't really get rid of it yet!. I had that problem when i auditioned for my first play!. My mind started litterly talking to me, and it said "don't be nervous because your doing what they want you to do" the point of that is to just do your best and smile beacause thats what they expect from you!. So I whent up on stage and said the few lines with NO hesitation and I got the part!. So just think!.!.!."how could you be nervous when acting is what they want you to do!?" it doesn't make much sense coming out of me but it works!. good luck: )Www@QuestionHome@Com

PIcture everyone in their underwear!.!.lol just kidding!. AN audition w/ adults is deffinetly better then w/peers because it is more professional!. you can stop shaking by practicing alot w/ peers and adults and asking for an honest opinion and how to improve!. But don't forget if you are alittle nervous that isn't a bad thing but if you feel like your shaking take a deep breathe and calm down!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is what I did!. Have your parents invite a bunch of their friends over!. Then invite yours!. Then practice in front of them!. My best tip: Ignore them and have fun with it!

Remember: It's impossible to completely get rid of your nerves! Some nervousness is natural!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Okay, so nerves are just a part of performing!. Some people think it gives them an edge but it can be overwhelming!. Sorry to say, there is no quick fix for nerves!. The basic advice for the nerves is just remember to breathe!.!.!.in through the nose out through the mouth!. Your body needs this oxygen more than anything else, especially with your adrenaline going, which it probably will be!. But here are some tips to keep your mind focused!. First, if you can, get into the space!. Become familiar with it!.!.!.where the judges will be sitting, where you'll look!. Practice bouncing your, by using your diaphram and not pushing your vocal chords!, voice off the back wall!. This is projection and a very key element in theatre as you want your audience to be able to hear you clearly!. Getting familiar with the space and how it sounds and how you're going to move in it will relieve a lot of the fear you have because you'll be more comfortable!. Now, before your audition, give yourself a warm up!. Start at the tippy top of your head and work your way down to your toes!. Move every muscle and joint and get the blood flowing!. Warm your voice up as well!. Talk to your drama teacher, she should have some good vocal warm ups for you to do!. Your body is your instrument in acting!. If you don't take the necessary requirments to keep the instrument ready, you may stress it out and it won't work properly!. Then all you have left to worry about is the piece!. MEMORIZE!!! Then memorize it to the movements you have created for the piece!. I like to to this one step at a time: get it memorized, then set it to the blocking!.!.!.that way my brain isn't learning two different things at once!. also, talk to your drama teacher!. She could help you not only with the warm up but also the blocking!. Right before you begin your piece for the teachers, take a deep breath and nail it!!!! The only way it gets easier is to do it over and over! Brake a leg!Www@QuestionHome@Com
