I have a cousin who is in her 60's and she does!. She lives on the North Carolina Virginia boarder (Warren County)!. I don't know how to prove it to you other than giving you her telephone number and obviously I'm not going to do that!! :)
Most of the women who talk like that are dying off and the younger generations have lost/are losing that accent because too often when people hear a southern accent they immediately think 'redneck'!.
My cousin doesn't say 'fiddle dee dee' but she does say 'I declare' with that Scarlett lilt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
