Question: Christian views of Wicked, the broadway musical!?

As a christian, you have to understand what is real and what is not!. It's pretty obvious that Wicked is a fairy tale, so unless you are also against classics like Cinderella or Snow White or The Wizard of Oz (which was the basis of the whole idea of Wicked) I would suggest you see it, because it is really amazing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wicked is a fictional story, based on the Wizard of Oz!. Its definitely an okay show to see for anyone!.

Now, its been a while since I've studied the Bible, but from what I remember watching fake spells and magic isn't bad, everything is smoke and mirrors (litterally!, well almost because it's more lights that mirrors)

There are several good lessons in the show and the songs, costumes, and set are wonderful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well no comment on my part (i love the musical) but my mother, who is a very religious person, loves it also, i mean i could see why people don't ( witches anyone!?)!. we even saw it twice!!! but i think because it was a spin off of such a classic story and movie people didn't get as easily offended as let's say the golden compass book (which my mom doesn't even like me to talk about)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am very religious everyone in skool calls me the Christian but im in theater and i think it is ok i know that it is a non-fiction story and the music and acting in this show are so amazing its hard not to like it!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

YEs, it's fine!. It is made very clear that is a fantasy show, and doesn't compel viewers to practice witchcraft, and chanting is rarely used throughout the show!. It is a excellent show to see for all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
