There are acting classes on dvd that you can get!. Some of the visitors to my site have actually bought some from Amazon!. There are two that I know of!. One is by Sanford Meisner and the other by Uta Hagen!. Both of them have passed away, but they are two of the greatest acting teachers of all time!.
BUT when and if you become serious about acting, you will want to start taking classes!. There are a lot of benefits to taking classes instead of studying alone or even just one on one with an acting teacher!. Have a look at this page on my site for new and aspiring actors!. Yes, that is where all acting starts!. The stories you tell your parents and siblings!. If they start believing you, and you can keep their attention for a period of time!. (get a laugh) you are an actress!. Then broaden your horizons! Make the stories more dramatic, longer, funnier etc!. and tell them to anybody you meet!. Before long, you can sell yourself to the highest bidder!. And you won't suffer from shyness or nerves!.

Grad some monologues and start reading them into the mirror!. Practice until you're blue in the face!.

Then start trying out for community theater, because that's really how you learn to act!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Join a local amateur dramatic group and they will teach you all the angles!. Then you can branch out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
