Many combined factors participated in their premature death, such as:
Naivety- youth!.
The easy access to poison / drugs!.
Family feud / divide, not allowing their love to be publicly demonstrated (not in a sexual way!)
Bad advice!? Or bad communication (Friar and Balthasar)
The banishment of Romeo (for killing Tybalt, because he killed Romeo's best friend, Mercutio)
Fate!? Romeo recalls a dream just before he meets Juliet foretelling his death!. This omen is echoed later by Juliet, when Romeo leaves her after consummating their wedding!.
And yes, as you say, overall, love!.!.!.!.but was it merely lust!?!

An idea to support your claim, is that Romeo thinks Juliet is dead (although the audience know that she had been purposely drugged to escape marriage to Paris), so he decides to take his own life!. Then does Juliet awake to realize Romeo has committed suicide because he thought she was dead, thus spurring Juliet to follow suit!.
Reminds me of that song, 'I can't live! If living is without you!'
hee hee!.
Hope this helps!. But I would strongly recommend mentioning that it was actually a multitude of factors!.

Hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I hate when people say that Romeo and Juliet was affected by fate, because it wasn't!. It was their own stupidity!. If Romeo had waited just 5 more minutes, Juliet would have woken up!. Or if the Nurse, who helped arrange their marriage, supported Juliet when her father was forcing her to marry Paris, things would have definitely turned out differently!. And their parents' feud is what made them keep everything a secret, so they can be blamed as well!. But I think Friar Laurence should have refused to marry them!. If they didn't get married, there would be no need for suicide!. They could have waited it out!.

I think they were blinded by love as well!. They didn't realize how stupid what they were doing was at the time because all they cared about was being together!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, you're right - love was their motivation to get involved in such a complex plot with poison and so forth!. And then it's just tragedy - a missed bit of information - which takes them down!. Shakespeare put it together so that they almost lived through it - but not quite!.

The idea that no one killed them but a stupid bit of missed information increases the sense that they could easily have been successful - thus increasing the tragic sense when they aren't successful - and they die!

!.!.!.!.and never was there a tale of so much woe
As of Juliet and her Romeo!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well besides love i would blame the friar because you gave juliet the potion which made everyone believe she was dead so romeo killed himself and she killed herself when she saw romeo dead
if juliet never got that potion from the friar then that never would of happened but also the friar could of sent the note faster (the note that said juliet wasnt really dead)
so yea in general my opinion would be the friarWww@QuestionHome@Com

love blinds them from thinking about consequences!. they are generally lead by their emotions (especially romeo) and act without reason!. for example, when they learn romeo will have to be banished both become very disappointed/suicidal!. instead of trying to find a solution their love blinds them and they 'give up!.'Www@QuestionHome@Com

They are to blame for their deaths because they didn't tell anyone they were married!. Therefore, Juliet was put to sleep to keep from marrying Paris!. Since Romeo thought she was dead, he killed himself!. If they had just come out with it, probably none of it would have happened!. BUt then there would be no story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, besides the families' hatred, I'd say the plague!.

If it weren't for the plague, Romeo would have gotten the letter and would have been able to get Juliet and run away!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

love because they were so in love with each other that they couldn't wait to see each other, so it meant death!.

You could also blame the families because they hated each other so much, instead of forgiving each other!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes, love is too blame, but the thing is, they rushed into everything, they went to talkin to saying i love you in like 2 minutes, if they took their time and planned things out, that wouldnt have happenedWww@QuestionHome@Com

The burning hate between the Capulets and the Montagues caused the death!. Or mabye the burning passion between the two!. Or both!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The apothecary, haha

On your idea!.!.!.
love turns us into fools!. We ignore our minds and all rationality!. Ideas came out overdramatic and things weren't thought through!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Family Feud is over-ruling point!. This is symbolic of society as a whole though and how it restricts us from who we really want to beWww@QuestionHome@Com
