Don't worry about having proffesional resume when you are just beggining!.!.this may be a bit confusing !.!.lol but just try this one out!.

You have to build a "Beginner's Acting Resume"!.

Here's a sample :

Savannah Starlet

TV Shows
Commercials
Commercial Print

High School Drama Club

That's it! You see, if a casting director really REALLY likes your photo and your look, they will call you in!.

* DONT FORGET YOUR NAME , WEIGHT , HEIGHT,AGE RANGE , EYE/HAIR COLOR GO ON THE TOP, RIGHT SIDE!.

I'm a teen and i guess this is simple for me so can it be for you!. Put in any instruments you play or anything special (hidden talent)!.

Hope you have a great career!
Good Luck! =)

You don't have to have experience performing on television to land a television job!.
The first thing a director looks for when casting is "type"!. If they are casting an overweight woman in her 50's and you are a thin woman in your 20's than you obviously are not going to be considered for the part!.
Casting people want to know that you are the type that had in mind, or in the least can bring something new that will work with the part that they didn't think of!. They want to know if you are talented and believable in the character they are casting for!.
As far as an acting resume is layed out:
You would put on the top, centered
Your name!.
On top left you would put your hair color, eye color, height and weight!.
Then you would list in three columns the names of the plays you have been in (tab) where you performed (tab) and the characters name
Then you would put any "other experience" For example "tap dancing, jazz" blah, blah, any school training you have had that could relate to performing!.
Finally you can write Other special characteristics!. This is a place where you can show that you are unique and your interests!.

The resume gets pasted on the back of an 8x10 black and white 'headshot' (actually they use 3 quarter lenghths these days) !. If you are submitting email, than you would just send them in an attachment!. Oh and don't let a photographer milk you for taking the headshots as there are so many these days that can do them cheap in the digital era we are in!.

A cover letter is a good idea which is a letter stapled to the front of the headshot which tells why you are interested in auditioning for the production company and for the specific role!. A standard thing to close this letter with is!.!.!.!. "Thank you for taking the time to consider me for this role!. I will be happy audition at your convience!. If not, than please keep me on file!." that sort of a thing!.
