Question: Where do people hear about television and movies casting calls!?
National shows like Lost, The Office, etc!.!.!. do open casting calls before they air!. How do people find out about them, where they take place and what they are looking for!? Is there a LEGIT website!? do they post the open calls on the main channel's website (such as nbc!.com,etc!.!.)!? The same for movies, when they are looking for someone new with specific features, where do they do the searching!? (99% of casting calls websites are fraud and you can tell by their quality and how they want your money) please advise!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fist, you have to know the nature of the acting business! it is hyper competative!. So, to be honest, there are people reading your request for "Open source" casting calls and they know where to find them (I happen to have three and counting)!. But, again, because of the competative nature of this business, they are going to be hard pressed to share this info with you!. Why should they when they want the parts and the money like you!! So, you'll have to get busy and do your home work!.!.!.!. These sites exist, and they work!. I just got casting notices for two films shooting in my area!. And guess what!? They ARE NOT for extras! Paid roles my friend, show me the money roles!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

What makes you think they would have an open call for anything except extras!? If you want a speaking role, you need an agent!. There are website which list the extra calls, but they ususally are just after your money as you say!. Get an agent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
