Technically speaking, the CD and print are copyright of the photographer, and may not be edited by any other professional, or even by you!. However, unless the contract with your photographer expressly forbids you from copying the CD, you are free to copy it, provided that the photographer's information is not removed, and then give or send the CD to prospective agencies, studios, auditions, etc!. However, most people still prefer to get actual prints, as they, generally, don't have time to stick a CD into a computer (if you had five seconds to choose between two people you don't know, one of whose picture is a nice 5x7 glossy and the other is a CD, which would you pick!?)!.

The rest of your questions deals with knowledge of computers, which is beyond the scope of this forum, "Theater & Acting", and, regardless, cannot be easily, much less briefly, explained via this website!. Ask your friendly neighborhood computer geek (might be your 12 year old brother!) for help in this regard!.

IMHO, the overall tone of your question and details suggests that you have no idea what goes on in your intended vocation, and, as such, I strongly advise you to seek help from your parents, school guidance counselor, or a legitimate, professional, theatrical or similar agency, if only to save time and money!.

P!.S!. The abbreviation for "etcetera" is "etc", not "ect"!.

Like skaizun said, the images are always the property of the photographer!. You need to look at the contract you signed to see if you may take that cd to a printer!. You can usually upload them to your computer and send them digitally to photolabs online!. Usually it's fine, otherwise you need to look at the images and decide which ones you want printed and order more from your photographer directly!. They only give you one figuring they can make more money from the extra images you'll order!. Welcome to the money pit, I mean the biz! :-)

If you haven't already taken your shots, why not shop around!? Many photogs have websites showing their work and competitive package deals!. No need to go with this one guy!.!.!. plenty of fish in the sea!.

good luck!
