im 13!. my parents would never move!. i like in MN!. and i want to be an actress!. of course everyone does , but to get big roles and get auditions for big roles do you have to live in one of those states!? and another question ; if i were to get an agent here , in MN, would they be able to get me auditions for higher roles and such!? thanks for all that answer :)Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: A working actor!? Not really, because the majority of the work is in NY and LA!. Agents in MN will not be able to get your auditions for projects in those places!. Honestly, don't worry though!. No one starts at the top anyways!. You have to work your way up and that means auditioning for community theatre plays and getting into some good classes!. Work on your skills and technique to help develop them along with building a strong resume so that if/when you DO decide to move, you might actually have a shot!. Take advantage of your geography to work on getting lead roles in small projects instead of worrying about getting an audition on a big tv show or film!. You can check your states film office website though to see if there are going to be any big films being shot in your area!. If so, most likely they will need extras and will cast locally!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com get as much experience and training, if available, where ever you live now!. churches, school, and community theatre are just a few possibilities to you!. volunteer for everything!.!.!.even if it's not acting because having knowledge in all elements of theatre, will be hugely invaluable to you in the long run!. start researching colleges and universities that offer programs that interest you!. you can base this search on the location of the program/school or the type of/how specific a program they have!. the problem with getting an agent at your age is that you HAVE to have your parents COMPLETE support; physically, financially, emotionally and a lot of parents can't do that!. you can't even legally drive yet!.!.!.what happens if you do catch a role!? are your parents willing to do all these things for you!? if this isn't, then just get involved where you can for the time being, look to the future to continue your education, and keep holding onto that love!Www@QuestionHome@Com iit's possible to be that and you are plenty young enough im also into acting so i know what its like but i honestly have no idea where to go!. the only thing i can think of is to keep practicing, take acting courses(if you have'nt already) start in school plays and work your carrier from there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com you dont have to live in a known start off at like schoools or somthing then build your way upWww@QuestionHome@Com It'll be easier if you live in a big city, but there's talent agencies out there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
