Don't do anything from Highschool Musical, Wicked, or Rent!. They are so overdone!. Avoid anything Disney!. I'd suggest pulling out a Cole Porter tune, something peppy and clever!. Adults casting (if they're older) will really appreciate the classics!. "Be A Clown" is a fun one!.

Warm up your voice, wake up early, take time to just breathe, work through your vocal range, drink water-- NOT SODA!.

Another idea for an audition song that would be cute, funny, and appropriate, would be the Veggie Tales "Pirates That Don't Do Anything"!. That song is amazing and I doubt anyone else will audition with it!.

I wouldn't use a pop song, you can't really act it and I'm sure the adults don't want to hear it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why would you want to sing one of those song! Sing a broadway song!. Pop songs are nothing what you are going to sing in the play!. Pick something from The Sound Of Music or Oklahoma for exampleWww@QuestionHome@Com

sing a cute song like hsm gay songs lol just shorten them stuff liek that (make sure u drink water befor u go on it warms up ur voice)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sing something in the style of the musical - so not Miley Cyrus or any other pop!. If you sing a pop song you'll be just like all the others, and you won't have shown that you can sing in the right style for the musical, which is very un-poppy! Look at other Gilbert and Sullivan musicals - The Mikado or HMS Pinafore both have songs which you could use!. Other composers you might want to look at are Rogers and Hammerstein - you could try "I'm Just A Girl Who Cain't Say No" or "Many A New Day" from Oklahoma, or "Confidence" from The Sound of Music; possibly Gershwin, who has written some wonderful songs; one of Sarah's songs from Guys and Dolls could work - "If I Were A Bell" or "I'll Know", or "I Could Have Danced All Night" from My Fair Lady!. also, if you sing something like any of these suggestions, it'll be clear to your teachers that you've done your homework and that you really want to be a part of this, which will help your chances of getting a lead role!.

Pirates of Penzance is a fun show, an oldie but a goodie! Enjoy it!Www@QuestionHome@Com
