pantamiming for one were your completley silent, theres this game called the hat game were you have like 4 hats each with its own rank and you can only knock of the hat off of people below you, and you can demote people, and if you knock off your own hat the person below you has to put it back on your head, then you come up with a situation like breaking out of jail or fixing something and the kids have to act it out silently!.

also theres this game called elavator were kids come up with characters and basically frestyle act, creating scenarious, no script!. when i did it the elavator broke, and we had people jumping down the shaft to get out, then someone took a bobby pin and got it working again, it was hilariouse!.

then theres group warm ups were you say things like (big black bugs bleading blue black blood) tongue twisters, then theres (red leather yellow leather)

another group activity were you say thing s your walking through like jellow or hot soup (quite a few people died when we did that one) and the act out how the would walk

The dot game, you chase an imaginary dot on a partners head, then they chase yours

Give them a monolouge to memorize and perform like one from william shakespears as you like it the monolouge is all the world is a stage, we did that one in class

or get a book of short two person scenes and have them perform those

they could write there own plays/ scenes

(this is all stuff weve done in our theater classes)

really if you get groupes of theater kids together stuffs gonna happen anyway, just try to organize the chaosWww@QuestionHome@Com

I am not sure what type of camp it is you are working at, but I used to direct a theatre camp where we taught kids all aspects of theatre!. (We had no one younger than 8 though!) Anyway we focused time on each thing and we would have them do something related to that!. For example, we had a costumer come in and talk about their job and bring in some costumes, etc!. and then after we had kids design some of their own costumes (we had markers, colored pencils and crayons for them to draw them out)!. Same with the tech director/set designer!. Another thing we did to help with acting skills is we did some improve games!. But this camp was a daily camp and was really structured!. They all wrote and performed a play at the end!. Not sure if what I did was the same type of camp you are a part of!?
Anyway, I hope these suggestions help!.!.!. maybe!? :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Uhh, shouldn't the people at the camp already have the activities laid out!? That seems really odd that you're supposed to plan the activities!.
