I'm gonna go with Scales and arpegg!.!.!.!.!.

Food!? Stay away from Cheese, Chocolate, and Milk

OH!!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. and NO COFFEE!!

Water with lemon is good, Herbal Tea!? Always a plus!. I recommend Traditional Medicinals' Throat Coat tea!. It works!.

I detest the taste of the stuff (I hate licorice), but I can attest that it works!.

There are no easy warmups!. The whole point of warmups is to get you ready for performance!.

Nothing about Theatre is easy!. If it were, anyone could do it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Please follow these steps prior to singing (unless advised otherwise by your doctor):
? Don't eat chips, nuts or crunchy food items 2 hours before singing as it can lodge in the throat!.
? Don't consume cream, ice-cream or cheese 2 hours before singing as it can block the throat!.
? Do drink plenty of room temperature water 2 hours before singing to lubricate the throat!.

What should I do before I begin to sing!?
? Clear all passages such as nasal, throat, bladder and bowels!.
? Use a throat gargle such as Betadine (throat iodine) regularly each week!. A throat gargle will clear any congested throat areas!. I find Listerine too strong and don’t recommend it; if you must use a supermarket variety and dilute it well!. Check with the manufacturer if you have any doubts or questions about the product’s drying effects on a singer’s voice!.
? Drink a glass of room temperature water or a lukewarm fruit tea to lubricate the throat before you commence singing!. Drinks should never be sparkling, hot or with ice!.
? Do slow shoulder rolls making sure the elbows are slightly bent and resting beside your hips!. Do gentle body stretches with knees slightly bent, bending gently without force!.
? Check that you are not in a draught or near a fan as this can affect your throat and health during and after singing practice!.
? Check you have all necessary sheet music, lyrics and equipment organised, check your backing recording is on the correct track (song) and your microphone and song are at the correct volume levels before you commence singing!.
? Take a moment to focus on your song; remind yourself where any difficult areas may be and how you should sing it (its personality, vocal changes or words)!.
? Make sure you have good posture by resting your weight evenly on each leg; your back should be supported, not stiff and not leaning forward!. To get correct posture, roll your shoulders up to your ears, and then lower them!.
? Prepare for the music to begin with your eyes in view of the lyrics or audience!. Take your breath gently through the mouth allowing at least 3 counts (or beats) before the first word of the song to get a full breath!. Don’t force air through your mouth cavity, draw it back gently and make sure your mouth has enough opening to get a clear entry without your teeth obstructing it!.

I know it is not exactly warm ups but it will help you to sing well!
Hope it helped Cleo854Www@QuestionHome@Com

oooh!.!.!.willy wonka!

well, im in our church choir and we do a lot of warm ups!. but you NEED a piano!.

okay here are some

1!. do this with your lips
>>kiss
>>smile with closed mouth
>>smile with teeth out
>>open your mouth
>>then tounge out
do this for about 3 minutes!.

2!. The tounge exercise
>>rotate your tounge around your teeth with your mouth closed!. first clockwise for about 10 times and counter clockwise, 10 times too!.!.!.
*if your tounge starts hurting just do the tounge out until it feels better*

3!. the piano notes thing
>>try this tune (do re mi fa so so so so so do re mi fa so in the piano) me e e e a ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaa me e e e ah

do it continuously while reaching higher notes!. sometimes its how we determine the soprano, altos, base, and stuff!.!.!.!. im Soprano 1 so its pretty high ^!.^
*dont cut it!.!.!.it all together ok! hehe!.!.its hard to explain here!.!.

4!. for a little bit more complicated tune, try hitting random notes on the piano and copy them!. remember, three fingers must fit in your mouth when you sing!. try to maintain an O shape in your mouth so that the voice will not sound scattered and stuff!.!.trust me, it doesnt sound good!. oh, and when you copy these notes, do a sustained version!. as long as you can!.

lastly, dont use normal voice!. use your falsetto (dunno the spelling) one!. normal voice sometimes makes you sound like a kid!.!. ^!.^

hope i helped! ^!.^

Try singing a song that has a range of octave notes that you are not used to, like the Star Bangled Banner for example!. If your voice is high!.!.sing a song that is done low, and visa versa!. As far as food and drink!.!.the only thing I have noticed is that pop!.!.probably the caffenine!.!.tends to 'lower' my vocal chords to much, and my voice comes out sounding 'raspy'!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Step one: Get a piano/keyboard!.
Step two: Start playing notes!.
Step three: Sing those notes!.
Step four: Repeat!.

Not very specific, I know!. But seriously, if you just sit down and just start singing, and do this DAILY, you'd be amazed how far you can get in a couple of months!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A good warm-up is doing scales and arpeggios!. also humming is a good warm up!. Changing your tone every time you change your scale helps!. As for drinks, cough syrup will help sooth your throat before you sing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

don't drink and eat chocolates and cold beverages do the one that Sharpay do before she singsWww@QuestionHome@Com

Warm ups: Scales and sirens!.

Lots of water and absolutely NO dairy or citric acidWww@QuestionHome@Com
