Where can I get some more acting experience?

Question: Where can I get some more acting experience!?

I live in Southern Pennsylvania and I want to get some acting experience before I try to get an agent!.!.!.!.!.Is that the best way to go!? I want to get into Disney Channel or maybe even the last HP movie ( even though it might not happen) but i try my best and i want to become an actress!. There are many things you could do to start to get some experience!. Your town should have a local community theatre for example, where you might be able to try out to do some plays!. Get into drama classes at school!. If you start taking some classes in acting, you will start to be around the kind of people who can give you the kinds of answers you are looking for!.

Start with local productions - work with your local theater groups!.

You won't get into HP - sorry to shoot you down - it's stipulated that only UK actors/actresses can be cast in that per JK Rowling's agreement!.

As for Disney, they don't do open casting calls!. You'll need an agent!. To get an agent, you need to start building a resume with experiences - you can get these experiences by working with your local acting companies (this is how Amanda Bynes started)!.

You're lucky Pennsylvania has a film commission and casting directors are listed!. You can contact them for more information on local productions!. You'll want to send them a head shot and/or a demo reel along with your resume!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
