Question: What happens at an open call!? I'm not an actress I just want to be an extra (background talent)I'm so nervous
What do you do at an open call!? Is it hard!? What should I do to prepare!?

I was an extra before (for a tv pilot) but the casting company just called me and said could you be there two days from now and I said sure!

But this time it's a movie and they're having an open call and I don't know what that is or what to do!.

thanks in advanceWww@QuestionHome@Com

they are just going to look at you and see if you are what they want!. just extra work probably!. if it were more they would have told you!. and if it is more they will just have you read from a script with someone!. relax!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

open call is a cattle call of actors, you just walking slate (they take a picture and film you talking!.!.!.!. name etc!.)

You will want to wear appropriate clothes for the role such as if it is a stadium scene casual if it is a wall street scene business clothes!. (usually extras will wear their own clothing)

Sometime they want you to do a cold reading (you get the scene just before you go in) sometimes they ask you for a pre prepared scene (memorize something short)

Just be yourself and smile!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
