what were omens and superstitions in act one of julius caesar and how did they create drama and show foreshadowing!. For example, why did Caesar want mark antony to touch his wife's stomach during the race, the soothsayer ides of march, the the thunder and rain, and omens such as these!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Most of the omens, such as the animal not having a heart when Calphurnia is trying to dissuade Caesar from going to the Senate, are foreshadowing Caesar's impending doom!. They also create the right mood for such a play!.

Caesar told Antony to make sure that the whip that Antony would wield touched his wife!. This is because on the Lupercal, this festival, it was believed that those touched by the whip would be made more fertile, and Caesar is still childless!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
