The plot is that it's senior year and Troy and Gabriella struggle with the fact that they may be separated when they go to college!.
They hold a spring musical to stage their hopes and fears for the future!.
There is going to be a prom!.
Apparently Gabriella is being pressurised into going to the same college as Taylor and Chad wants Troy to go to a college and do basketball!.
