I have auditioned a lot and I have to tell you, it really does get your heart rate up!. I used to be nervous but then I just imagined what life would be like as the character you are auditioning for!. If you really beleive that you are some one else, it really helps!. also, use facial expressions!. An expressive actor is always better than one that keeps the same tone of voice and the same blank face!. Which brings me to my last point, change your voice to the suitable tone for each word!. Dont speak too quickly and speak with meaning in your voice!. But most importantly, have fun with your audition, whats the point of acting if you cant enjoy it!?

It depends on what you're auditioning for!.

For all auditions:
- Arrive early
- Keep smiling (they're always watching you)
- Always give 100% and keep going!. If you mess up and keep going you might still get cast, but if you give up when you mess up then you've sealed your own coffin!.
- Keep make-up simple!.
- Keep your hair out of your face (pull it back if you have to)!.

Dance:
- Come warm (Do all of your stretching and dance-warm-ups before you get there!. Arrive early and then do a quick re-warm up)!.
- Bring all of your shoes in a bag!. (wear your jazz shoes but have any others at the ready i!.e!. tap, point, etc!.!.!.)
- Don't be afraid to go first and don't be afraid to stand in the front!. (The more face time you have the better)

Singing:
- Bring your best 16 bars and have some alternates ready!.
- Bring your own accompanist music!.
- Do your vocal warm-ups before coming and while driving to the audition!.

Acting:
- Have more than 1 monologue memorized!.

Be courteous, and attentive!. Stop when they tell you to!. Believe in yourself, and have fun!. If you are supposed to have prepared material, know it well!.
