Question: Acting and Education!?
Hello, everyone =) I am an aspiring actress and have recently gotten involved with a very good agency!. My education, however, is also very important to me!. I understand the complications that can come with wanting to be an actress, so I want to make sure that I stay in school and such so that I always have more options if this doesn't work out for me (I hope it does, though!) lol So, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how acting will interfere with my education!. For example, will I have to miss a lot of school for auditions and such!? Furthermore, if I did get a role in, ok, perhaps a t!.v!. show or a movie, how would I keep up in school!? Would you need a tutor and such!? I'm new at the agency thing, so I just wamted to clear up these this major concern I had!. Thanks for your time and help!Www@QuestionHome@Com

first congrats for getting into an agency!
If you miss alot of school for auditions, readings and interviews, your advertising company will usually suggest hiring a tutor which they may or may not choose to cover depending on if your getting work!.
If, you do get a position on tv, the movie/soap will always have a tutor on set for the kids still at school!. They will provide a time at which you will be educated by the tutor!.

I have a friend who has the same problem!. She gave up her studies and now after her short acting gig she fell behind a lot in school!. she did manage to catch up by homeschooling but that wasn't enough either!. she had a rough time getting in a good college because of her stats!.
Though this might be scary, don't be discouraged!. You can still make it in Hollywood while being in school!. Just look at Natalie Portman who recently had a Yale degree!. I suggest you visit hollywood-opportunities!.com and read their guidelines for aspiring actors like you!.
