I wanna make some short films and would love to hear any advice or ideas or even brief story lines!. What subjects make you tick!? Do you prefer comedy to the deep and meaningful or happy clappy to the horror!?

the best film would be something your into rather than us!. because if you try to do somehting to please someone else yur not gunna put your all in to it!. but if its what you want itll be the best you can make it!.
if your good at comedy then do that if not dont!.
i think things that come form the heart are the best, issues that sometimes people just wont talk about but maybe they really should!. love is a common one!. i think something more personal, like eating disorders or extreme depressionWww@QuestionHome@Com

Comedy rarely works!.!.!. It takes a genius to act dumb!.

Try something deep and meaningful that highlights social problems, things like Suicide are clichés so don't try them!. Perhaps Homophobia, Racism, Immigration or something that challenges the very basics of life!. However this can be challenging as it has to be sad yet happy, and has to get a serious point across!.

Horror films by amateurs can often look really cheap and nasty and end up being comical because of bad effects and/or noises!.

Whatever you do, you must do it well!. Avoid scene like peoples houses, your friends will be more interested that they've been in a room than the story line, and strangers don't want to see your house, people look for untidiness or tackiness in houses!. Then again, you can be stopped for filming in the street!. Two men were arrested under Terrorist charges for filming a building!. They were completely innocent and were actually making a short film!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
