Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Can I be a good actor?Question: Can I be a good actor!? Acting has always been my hobby!. But I'm not a very good singer dancer I can't juggle or anything!. I'm only 13 but if I get a head start now won't it help me in the future!? Please any advice to help me!. I play the clarinet and i'm male (no i'm not gay ;) any advice at all!. What you need to do is tune your voice to fit the occasion, your character's emotion, and ALWAYS ask yourself, would an actual person say or do this!? The chances of you being a successful actor are slim!. If you want to act, I suggest joining community theater and eventually getting into school plays in high school!. Then worry about it!. You are only 13 and you don't make up your mind at that young of an age about what you want to do with the rest of your life!. Like I said, if you really want to act, try out for local community theater in your town!. You will soon see if acting is something you want to pursue!. If you're not very confident in singing, just ask your teacher (or director, rather) what you need to work on!. And don't worry about your voice, one of my guy friends acts in the school plays, and even though his voice has deepened, he had to sing at a higher octave, because of the character!. It is about an actor/writer whom has taken up directing and later producing of of his own work!. This soap opera is about "me as the male lead", and all others are supporting actors!. The story is about the real lives of the characters whom roleplay the part(s) of extras working their way through acting academy!. Your part will be the role of a 13 year old male clarinet player,(NOT GAY), whose voice has not changed yet,but he hopes it will soon!. Think you can handle this "ROLE"!? Looks are not important, as you can change any part of yourself, which makes you believe you are evolving!. Your talents, skills etc , are all adaptable!.
