This is the piece I have to auditon : CHIPS AHOY After careful analysis I have determined that Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies have twice as much chocolate as the other leading brand!. But I could be wrong!. Maybe I better test them again!. --------------------------------------!.!.!. How should I audition for this and make my piece stand out the most!? This would be a great question to ask them, since they have been training you - they would know what approach you'd be best in doing!. If you have a talent agent - you can ask him/her too!. They are more experienced and will give you a lot of hints on how to prepare for it!. If you have none-of-the above, I would recommand you breaking the paragraph into three parts (or beats)!. 1) After careful analysis I have determined that Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies have twice as much chocolate as the other leading brand!. 2) But I could be wrong!. 3) Maybe I better test them again!. For each of the parts, see if you can read them at a different paste (speed), rythem, and with different 'emotional' and movements!. Each of the parts have different intention!. Part 1) is more like, a Surprise, Discovery!. (SWEET!!!) Part 2) This is a set-up for Part 3!. (I feel a little devilish!.) Part 3) An excuse to eat it again!. (I'm going to get another bag) Everyone interrupts the scene differently!.!.!. So, work on them in front of a mirror and see which one that you feel *MOST* comfortable!. When you are at most comfortable and genuine, your performance will came out very natural!. And that should set you apart from other actors who are "acting" the part out!. Imagine that you are someone who acts in a commercial!. You're trying to get your audience to buy your product, correct!? Be sure to ennunciate your words carefully and precisely so that they know what you are saying!. Mumbling isn't going to get you cast as the role you've always dreamed of!. Make certain words stand out like they are italicized on the page!. after CAREFUL analysis , I have determined that CHIPS AHOY chocolate chip cookies have TWICE as much chocolate as the OTHER leading brand!.
