It is an old-fashioned way of acting espoused by Lee Strasberg at The Actors Studio!. It was developed during the 1930's and is based upon misconceptions of what Stanislavski was doing in Russia in the first third of the last century!. Method acting was very popular in the 1950's and some of today's actors use Method techniques!. But it is an unnecessarily rigorous and stressful way of approaching acting!. Today's actors do not act, they react which is something different from what The Method teaches!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
