This is another common problem among actors!.

Before you go getting head shots, know what your type is and what you are going to use the head shots for!. In other words, what kinds of roles do you want to be considered for!?

Have a look at this page on my site for new and aspiring actors!. It has to do with head shots!. You'll find Peter Hurley, one of the best NY photographers and a lot of comments from him about questions to ask to photographers, how to find them, how to make sure you get really good shots!. You'll also find links to his site!. If you are just starting out, I don't know that I would recommend spending the money he himself might charge you for head shots, but I do know that he recently just created a Peter Hurley2 group of head shot photographers, that are good and who charge a lot less!.
