If you're a girly girl and want something soft and soothly play the sax, flute, or clarinet, but if you want power play the trumpet, tuba, or percussion!. I originally play the trumpet I love it so much!!! However, I recently started taking tuba lessons because i was drawn to the power which it has lots of, it's fun but difficult because i'm used to a smaller mouthpiece!. Percussion is also really and I've played that also, you should probably only do percussion if you have good rhythm!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

flute, clarinet, saxWww@QuestionHome@Com

i thank oboe, sax, and trumpet!. I play the trumpet and i love it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

how about---trumpet--clarinet--sax-------i am partial to trumpet but if i could do it again i would choose-pianoWww@QuestionHome@Com

depending what u will want to play in after you start playing
for example if you play a woodwind you wont be able to be in a drum corps and you will rarely see a bassoon in a jazz band

i play brass and ive been able to switch from different instruments (trumpet, baritone, tuba)
my opinion is to go with a brass instrument!.
trumpet isnt hard to learn (that was my first instrument, it fun)

saxophones are also a popular instrument

and if you are in like a high school where you have to carry the instrument, if you dont care what you play a flute is easy to carry in your backpack =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sax, Trombone (I do it!), and flute, they make great sounds ; ]Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that if you are a learer play clarinet, Trombone, flute there the most funWww@QuestionHome@Com

Why choose!? Learn to play them all!. If you start with the toughest woodwind (clarinet) and the toughest brass (trombone), the rest will be gravy!.

What, exactly, is wrong with percussion!? It will teach you rhythm!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say that you should play the Clarinet, because it leads you to the Sax- (Alto Sax, tenor is a bit harder)!. So, those would be two instruments already!. And then, I would choose flute because it has a beautiful sound!.

I play both Clarinet and Alto Sax, in my school I started with Clarinet and from there I was allowed to advance into sax!. I wanted to also take flute, or even oboe too, but I think the flute is really beautiful and usually the flutes keep the melody!.

Clarinets and trumpets also usually keep the melody, clarinets more than trumpets!. If you are planning on playing French horn, etc!. you will probably play accompanying parts!. Trombone usually keeps a solid beat, and it's very heavy on the shoulders!.

:D So, I suggest trying out each instrument if you haven't already!. And one at a time, since it's hard enough learning and getting used to one!

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I played a number of brass instruments in high school, and found the French horn to be the most expressive!. It also was difficult, but the deep, rich sound was great!. Learning to play the Mozart horn concertos was a memorbale experience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well why don't you try something from each 'category' you can try the flute which is delicate and does not use a reed!. Then try something from the reed category I'd say sax or tenor sax because they have a very nice sound to them in my opinion and lastly I'd suggest trying a brass instrument!. Even though it's not up there I'd suggest trying the tuba!. I play that and it's SOOOO easy, you always hear how it's really hard and annoying but it really isn't, we have all the bass line and people always get a kick out of this tiny girl playing this 'huge' instrument plus it sets you apart from the crowd and if you want to go to college for music you have a much better chance of getting a scholorship over the million flutes that apply!.

Good luck!

Alto sax, flute, or trombone!. The trombone is very fun to play, and the flute is a classic instrument with a very light, airy sound!. It is very agreeable to play!. Finally, my favorite, the alto sax!. I just love that smooth, alto sound!. Plus, any type saxophone (alto or tenor) are very fun to play!. There's some great music out there for the sax! But you pick which one you like!
Have fun,
