There are many books full of monologues at your local library!. I would read through a few of those and pick a few that actually make sense to you and (pardon the use of the language here) 'speak' to you!.

You'll do a lot better if you understand the context of the monologue (or if you can't get the whole play, make a history of your character)!.

Whatever you do, don't just pick some words, memorize them and then repeat them!. Really study the words, know what they mean and make some specific choices about the character, scene and meaning of the monologue!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
