Question: How can a blonde audition for the lead in Snow White without changing her hair color for the audition!?
My daughter is auditioning for a local theater company's production of Snow White tomorrow!. Of course, she wants the lead!. She's experienced with this theater company and while she's had supporting roles in the past, she's never had a lead!. Her hair is blonde though and a little past her shoulders!. She is willing to dye it or wear a wig for performances, but she doesn't have time to do anything between now and the audition!. How can she deal with this and what else can she do to project the character of Snow White at the audition!? We're all out of ideas! Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, if you can't get a wig at a costume or party store before the audition, she'll just have to make sure they know she's willing to change her hair!.

She can wear really pale make-up with red lips!. Tell her to make sure and practice her posture!. She's always pictured lady like even while in rags!.

Tell her break a leg!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi! I would suggest she ties it back!. Perhaps she could wear it as two plaits!? Snow White is an innocent, virginal character so plaits would emphasise this childish, innocent quality!. Hope your daughter "breaks a leg"!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The director will be able to picture her with a wig (or even more radically, possibly could cast a blonde Snow White)!. If they ask about hair, just say you would be willing to go with a wig or a dark rinse!. Break a leg!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can get a wig!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

she could wear a wig, and if not, if she's good she should be able to get the role despite her hair colour!. in an audition looking the part doesn't matter as much as outshining everyone else auditioning!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just put on the audition form that she is willing to dye her hair or wear a wig if she gets the part!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think so!. My school just did a presentation of Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and the lead actor was a brunette! I'm sure it won't matter what color hair she hasWww@QuestionHome@Com
