Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I usually have a workshop!. I get enough actors to read the roles, and have them read it, and give me feedback!. I also have a few people with good heads on their shoulders who I also have read it, and both groups often give me a good picture of what it needs!.

The biggest difficulty is finding the people to do it!. If you write regularly, work on setting up a group!. In Canberra, we have a playwrights group for this purpose!. And I'm also part of a local company who are always working on new stage plays!. There are a few groups in the capitals who may help: La Mama in Melbourne and Belvoir in Sydney, but if you're anywhere near Canberra, Canberra Dramatics will help!.

What do you mean by query it!? Try to get local theatre companies to produce it!. I am an award winning, produced playwright, and I would be happy to read your play and critique it for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
