Question: 'When There Was Me and You' help!?! URGENT!!?
I have to sing HSM's "When There Was Me and You' for an audition (I'm auditioning for Gabriella, in case you haven't heard) and I'm having trouble with certain phrases, especially the higher-ish notes after mostly chest voice parts, like:
But THEN you went and change the words

And the entire phrase (on the 2nd go around):
Now I know you're not a fairy tale, and dreams were meant for sleepin'!. And wishes on a star, just don't come tru-e!.

Is there any way to get past this hump!? And, if there are any directors/casting directors out there, who can tell me whether or not to sing this song in all chest voice, or all mix, or all head voice!?!

PLEASE help on these specific questions! Urgent!

I would do a mix of head and chest or just head voice!. Here are a few tips
1!. make sure your voice is warmed up
2!. record yourself practicing, and then listen to it!. See what you need to work on!.
3!. just practice the phrases you have trouble with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i can only say that you should sing it as if you mean it and if it is too high then try to sing down the octave and don't sing to much chest!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Warm your voice up before you sing!. IDK anything after thatWww@QuestionHome@Com

just sing as if you would sing anything else just be yourselfWww@QuestionHome@Com

Please make sure that it is okay to sing this song for an audition!. The tips you were given were excellent, but usually you cannot audition for a show with a song from that show!. This could hurt you!.

also, do not sing an octave lower unless you work it out with the person accompanying you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
