I'm going 2 a casting call tonight and I don't know whether to go casual or slightly dressy with dress pants and a dress shirt or like a dress with leggings or what!. I know for interviews you have to dress up, is it the same for casting calls!?!? First quality answer gets 10 points!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Dress casual nice!. Not dressy pants, because you'll only end up regretting that!. Something bright so that they remember you, but not obnoxious!. Jeans will work just fine!. also, remember to dress COMFORTABLY!. Often, you'll be moving around, and if you're wearing jeans that cling to every part of your body, because then, if they ask you to do something and you can't do it, you'll probably be automatically crossed off of their list of possibilities!. And yes, wear a dressy shirt, and no tennishoes!. Maybe dressier shoes, maybe high heels, or something!. Or pumps!. Remember that an audition might involve vigorous physical movement, even if you're not trying out as a dancer!. So wear something in which you can jump in the air or roll across the floor without flashing anybody!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I think you should dress "casual but cute", because I have seen so many actors and dancers go over the top, some even wear there dance concert outfits and they get drilled for it!. The judges see there clothes not what there doing!. Remember "you wear the outfit, the outfit doesn't wear you"!. I suggest, either jeans or leggings, as i find leggings really comfortable, I can sit however I need to sit, I can do whatever, but they still look cute!. I also find that if I need to sit in a certain way, they don't ride down :P whereas jeans sometimes do!. If your wearing Leggings wear a nice long top, or a casual dress, nothing to glitzy but something nice!. Make sure its semi-fitting, you don't want it super tight and sometimes that looks unattractive but you don't want it really loose, as they need some idea of your body shape!. Keep your hair simple, either up in a pony, down, half-up half-down or in a side pony!. Keep make-up, if you wear any to a minimum, I would wear tinited moisturiser/light foundation and some mascara and lip balm!.!.(: I hope this helped!.!. and good luck :D Xx <3Www@QuestionHome@Com Definately something comfortable, and simple!. No heavy patterns or super bright colors!. Nothing too formal!. Solid colors always work best, because sometimes they do tape your audition - and busy pattern/flashy color clothes will only make you look "busy" on screen!. also, leave out any big earrings and necklaces!. Keep things simple!. But also, take in consideration of the role that you're auditioning for!. If the role is a tomboy-ish female character, then you probably don't want to wear a skirt to the audition!. I always encourage the actors to dress the part!. But don't over do it!.
