Question: A dramatic female monologue!.!.!.!?
I want a monologue that I can do for my theater class!. It has to be for a woman, cannot be over two minutes, and I would really like it to be dramatic!. Something about a girl being beat from her husband/boyfriend!. Maybe even thinking that it was her fault or something!.
also, there must be no cursing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Look at something from "Crimes of the Heart"!. There is a monologue in there about how a woman killed her husband!. It is funny as well as touching!. I THINK the character is "Babe" but I don't remember for sure!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm sure you can find something suitable from Nathaniel Hawthorne's 'The Scarlet Letter'!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you really want to impress your theater class, you should work out a Shakespearean monologue!. Try something from one of his lesser known plays, like Antony and Cleopatra!. I know there's a lovely monologue for a woman in Macbeth, Othello, and Twelfth Night!. Try flipping through a couple of Shakespeare's plays and finding something that suits you!. Alternately, if you're looking for something more modern, check the library in your area!. Every library I've ever been to had a couple of books with famous monologues for women!. It's neat!. Good luck finding something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
