Question: How do I find a talent agency for (non-famous) children in the UK!?
My 10-yr old son has only been on TV for 3 seconds, but he wants to know how to become a child actor!. He hasn't had the most experience but is pretty talented at acting!. He would love to be on a massive Nickelodeon series, but he understands that he'll just start in commercials and being extras!. The talent agency should be in London or Middlesex!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
He would be better advised to join a local Amateur Dramatic Society (check with your local library)!.
They always need people of all ages, the variety of parts would give him experience and confidence!.
Agencies and their spotters often attend stuff put on locally in the hopes of spotting a new talent!.
There are also "open casting calls" where non professionals can audition for parts in plays, TV shows or movies!.
If you have the finances pay for lessons in voice, movement, dance and any musical talents (singing if no instrumental skills)!.
Unless he is a VERY good looking (blond, big blue eyes, high cheekbones etc etc) or is "cute" (mass of curls, eyeglasses, freckles etc) then getting work in commercials will be tough!.
Just remember that at any time 95% of professional actors are "resting" (out of work)!.

DON'T pay an agency a fee up front, these are mostly scams and will not get your son any work - please also remember there are child labour laws that will not allow children under 16 to work beyond certain hours per week or interrupt their schooling!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You may good results there!. If not, just try the internet!.
