In my own experience as an amateur/hobbyist stage actress, I don't find it at all exciting to be intimate with another actor, for purposes of a scene!. First of all, there is the attendant nervousness: "Is my breath OK!? Is this person dreading kissing me!? Is this really going to help the scene, or is it going to look fake, like two complete strangers kissing!?" etc etc etc!. It can be nerve-wracking!. And then there is the simple fact of the nuts-and-bolts parts of it!. In the case of live theater, this kissing or touching or whatever is an action being performed on a stage, and the director can -- and will -- stop you if something doesn't look right!. Which pretty much kills the mood before it can build at all! I've kissed quite a few actors in my time!. Some were old & ugly, some were young & hot!. I even ended up dating a few of them -- and I married one of them! But I have to say, being intimate with someone on stage is all business!. My husband and I still do plays together, and kissing him on stage is sometimes just as much of a technical hassle as kissing a stranger would be!. The things we suffer for our art! ;-)Www@QuestionHome@Com well not all actors are the same!. some are method actors and are actually in the mindset that they are in love with ther person some just think about the next lines so you cant really say all actors/actresses think the same thing or feel the same wayWww@QuestionHome@Com They should be going through what the character is going through!.
