What do you have to offer to the world?
What's special about you?
What do you bring to the table that no one else does?

While you are going to class, try and get some experience too.

If you really love it, actively seek out any legitimate opportunity to act; community theatre, local theatre plays, student films, shorts. Also, doing background work at the beginning of your career can be a great education.

Whatever you do don't put all your eggs in one basket like so many people do and which is also one reason why many never get anywhere. What I mean is, if you run into someone who gives you an address or the name of ONE agent who works with casting directors for Disney, don't just work on getting that ONE. Find out who else in the industry works on projects with, casts for or represents actresses who are of your type and approach them too...in the right way. Know what the right way is.

Which brings me to the next point. Figure out what your type is.

Get good at making connections and building relationships with the right people.

Once you start to have some material (some of your work on stage or screen) to show, put together a reel (dvd) of some of your work.

Get yourself a decent website with your head shots, resume, bio, video, audio (?) Like they do at actorwebs.com and other places.

Learn how to market yourself online and off. In other words, learn how to make yourself be found.

Have a look at this page on my site for new and aspiring actors. It has links to pages about Disney Channel, getting an agent, etc.: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/teen_... .

Good luck!
