I am at my last resort. PLEASE HELP?

Question:Hello everyone My name is alexis and I am wondering if anyone has any advice about acting places to go in houston,texas. I am a good actor everyone around me thinks so i can play any role cry on the spot. I am an inspiring actor but I do not know where to start out. Does anyone if any know how i can get started any sites?

Maybe you should try to get in touch with actors who are already constantly working in eg stage work or advertising or so. (You'll find some on Facebook, believe me...) Go see a good show, write down some cast names, get in touch with them and ask them to help you. You never know...
You should also definitely get an agent- but be careful of who you trust (Though I'm sure you've already done that...) but that's all I know that may be able to help you.

ok get an agent if you are really serious about it. Thats what my fried did, she still does acting classes and she has had a photoshoot and then many others get her pictures and call her up and asked her to act in this commercial for them or model these clothes in this magazine for them...she even knows some of the disney channel stars from her acting class in huston

Becoming an actor is very tough. the usual route to get in is school plays, community theatre, becoming an assistant with a company in the biz and working very hard until someone will notice you. You have to network the right people, that is people who do the hiring and scouting for production comapanies. the reason you get a job as an assistant is so that you meet the people you need to know to get hired as an actor. Stay away from porn, it will end your carreer as a legitimate actor.
I don't know of anyone who is a self-supporting actor who lives in Houston. You eventually will need to go to either California or New York to become a member of the thousands of aspiring actors that have come before you and after you as well. Fianally, check into the SAG website. It is set up to help you as much as can be done for the newbie. Break a leg! Kiddo.

well selena gomez and demi lovato were from texas and i remember 1 time selena saying that all that was there was pretty much commercials so good luck with that
