you can try choose a few character that is well known in you place... it is not always a celebrities you can choose your family members or your friends .. but you have to ask their permission first ... otherwise they might take it as insults. ....

i would suggest you try the characters from the simpsons or the futurama.. they are quite easy to do and most poeple can recognize the character straight away even if your imporsomation is slightly off....
