Hermia.. Midsummer Nights Dream....Character Profile?

Question:I am playing Hermia, in act 3 sc.2 can you help me figure her out?
any key words about her, eg/ strong, ambitous....

She's very determined and defiant, almost like a typical heroine. She's willing to die than to be away from Lysander, which shows how strong a character she is.

I would say that she was quite feisty as well, but a bit selfish. Quite a *****, in a way. She gets jealous easily (when Lysander and Demetrius both fall for Helena) and she is very proud.

With this in mind, I imagine that Hermia would be acted as quite a proud, selfish, but determined character. A lot of energy would be put into the performance, but always keep in mind that she is a little selfish, so when you see anything in the script that takes the attention away from her, you could try and get it back - especially with Lysander.

I would go through the script carefully, and look for lines that might give you some more information about what she is like, or what she might be doing when the line is said.

Her main objective, I would say, would be to marry and have a happy relationship with Lysander.

erm...please could you email me to tell me which one she is, like if she is the fairy or what cause i watched the film and i no how the characters act but i dont no their names.....help me to help you!

Hermia is a headstrong, impetuous young woman! She runs away with her boyfriend because she doesn't want to marry the man her father has chosen for her. She has a fiery temper and cat fights ensue when she thinks her best friend is after her man! (all due to fairy mischeif of course) She has a good heart though and loves her family & friends.

well, i just did this play, and Hermia was very strong willed and didn't want to listen to her father (obviously thats why she and lysander ran away...haha) and shes stubborn and caring about her friends...and thats all i can really think of...
