Go to an ear, nose and throat doctor.
I got sick 24 hours before a huge new yourk call back and was frantic. I couldn't even talk- at all. I went to the doctor the night before, and by the audition at three o clock, i could sing perfectly. He gave me some prescriptions, and told me
- use a steam inhaler
- drink tea
- keep hydgerated no matter what
- don't talk
-don't sing until you're warm up
- do a long vocal warmup
- don't whisper- it's worse on your voice.
